The Great North Run 2014

Well, where do I begin..?

It was a very long day this year covering the event as part of the Marathon Photos team. From arriving in South Shields before sunrise to beat the road closures, to finding the Parking Meter was broken in the sea front car park, so bonus, free parking all day.

This years Great North Run 2014 was special for two reasons, Mo Farah won his 1st ever Great North Run, and 51-year-old grandmother Tracey Cramond became the millionth runner to cross the finish line since the event started back in 1981.

…and for the 1st time in a few years the rain stayed away! A long but memorable day.
